QB Brock Purdy Thread

If you got a team like the Browns willing to give a record breaking guaranteed contract to a sexual predator you bet you butt someone would be willing to give squeaky clean Brock Purdy a nice fat contract.

Titans
Browns
Giants
Jets
Colts
Saints
Raiders

nfl draft will fill 2-3 openings. then you have daniel jones, russ, fields, cousins, rodgers, carr and presumably if you include colts, richardson all doing musical chairs. there are actually more than enough QBs to go around. teams like scheme and relationship fits. for example, kellen moore with saints, he may want to work with cooper rush or kenny pickett. those are guys he has coached. so i see them in play and nfl draft in play also.

it's all team stats at the end of the day. if you play in a loaded offense with shanahan on the playsheet you are probably gonna look efficient. jimmy i believe is top 10 rated in history, for example.
I'd still just give Brock 30-35 million even with the salary cap increase. He regressed last year and is still under contract.

the key is get the early years at reasonable cap hit and get an out in the deal before the real cap hits set in

I hate when people say Brock regressed. Like not having his top weapons on offense available the majority of the season wasn't a factor. It's a team sport, not an individual one. Just frustrating sometimes always having to defend my boy.

That's not going to work.

I love how this 30-35 number is the one always being thrown around for the low-ball.

Where did you guys come up with this? Why not just say your going to pay him 15-25mill a year and use that as the number? Just say he's not worth that big a part of the cap and 15-25 is plenty. Its more than any of the backups make so he should take it right?

Nevermind that it's less than most WRS and good DEs. Purdy not worth being paid more than them.

It's just funny to me this 30-35 number keeps being tossed out. It's equally as laughable as 15-25 so why not save more?

It's not just me saying it, several ESPN analyst have said if he was a free agent the market for him would be limited. I'm no GM but I'd do 5 year $225 and half of that guaranteed.

Everybody talks s**t about Brock. They are way off.

Saying what they think someone's value is is not talking sh** though. It's just an opinion. Saying he "stinks" is talking sh**.

i think he's mentioned baker mayfield
he just went for 4500 and 41 TDs and makes 100m over 3, or 33m aav.

i see the point he is making. if the player wants to say dak makes this, the club should be able to say well baker makes that, and he had a better year than you did

Baker outperforming his contract doesn't mean Brock should get what Baker gets

I'm sure they will use more than two comps.
